Instructional Video for NASA

When I found myself in the factory of Moldex, a manufacturer of ear plugs, respirators (not gas masks), and other safety products for industrial environments, I realized this video is going to be very different from my previous work.

Moldex, the Culver City based manufacturing giant (random trivia…it is the 2nd largest employer in Culver City…first is Sony), hired us to create an instructional safety video to demonstrate proper usage of their disposable respirators. The impetus for the video came from NASA, one of Moldex’s clients who needed a video to show their employees how to properly put on, take off, and fit-test the disposable respirators.

The shoot included lighting, a model, and multiple takes of the model using the respirator in different ways.

This is where the power of video shines – can you imagine looking at pictures and trying to understand how to fit-test? Video makes everything easier to explain.

Check out these cool production stills.
